Well the bugs have arrived! We certainly didn't think J would be the first to post one up there in chilly Il.  The other night my cat caught a huge moth and today Barb reports that her husband found a tick on his leg. A little earlier there was a bee on my deck, but when I ran for the camera, he flew away.  |

| Sheryl, yeah, we were floored. Yikes that you've had two already! We know we've got ticks around here in the mountains, and I got one last year in (late) April, which also seemed early, but we had just arrived at our house late last night, and DH just walked to and from the car unloading, as I did too. He found the tick on his knee this morning during his shower. Bleagh. We always spray during the season, but it's been so cold here that we were very surprised to find one of the nasty critters. Luckily, it was all alone - we found no others! I think I got it off his leg early enough. Such a pain to have to worry about this, but I have a good friend who got Lyime disease a couple of years ago, and it's REALLY scary stuff. Hope everybody takes it seriously. | Weirdly enough, there has been no cases in our -or surrounding- counties. I assume it's a matter of time, but so far, so good. | i always find them crawling on my clothes when I'm working under the trees in my shady beds. But I've never had one bite. Not in years, like back before we knew about Lyime disease. |

| Whoa!! I more often find ticks on the back of my knees, and these days just the tiny deer/ nymph ones, even the cats seem to get those as much or more than the good old dog ticks. | They sure have around here Sally. We have the world's largest deer herd in Valley Forge National Park. There are always groups here tracking and studying their behavior. They are so used to people they don't even run away when you approach them. |

| True. They come to my bridge and eat the grapes. I used to love it becsuse I could come out before work with a cuppa' and sit 20-25' from them. All they would do was look up until I sat down then they would go back to munching. Not so anymore because even though they cross the yard, since Inky came they seem to prefer to eat at the neighbors mostly. Well, I have a fly in the house and am fresh out of fly swatters.  I did see a smaller dark purple colored butterfly today. It made me happy. |

| I have a fly in the refridgerator! he was in there yesterday and everytime I open the door he flys around but I can't get him out!!!! I THOUGHT they got COLD!!??!!!...Do you think when that guy in there turns off the light, they lie down and sleep? | Stormy I have a friend like that here. She is constantly cooking and baking !! I would prefer to 'garden' the world. I have heard a couple buzzy things and had a moth in the kitchen last night--round and round he goes (at the light)...
