Whitefish salad looks good but isn't Hilarious! My DIL and her family like it so much Thumbs down I gave in and tasted it...not good Rolling my eyes.

I'll ask for the other recipes. Marshmallow dip is easy peasy
40z block cream cheese very soft
1/2 container or so of fluff
whip together and dip away Big Grin
It happens in a flash, but the memory of it last forever. It can not be borrowed or stolen, and it is of no earthly good until it is given away. So if in your hurry you meet someone who is too weary to smile, leave him one of yours, for no one needs a smile quite as much as he who has none to give...

Wow, Thanks, Ronnie! Thumbs up That is easy. I'll have to look for an occasion to serve that for sure! I will add the vanilla too.

Scrapple was always a mystery to me, although a delicious but somewhat gross one. One day I decided to investigate it. It is nothing more than corn meal (polenta), ground pork, pepper and sage. Nothing gross about that at all.

Is the Whitefish Salad the type with Sour Cream? I don't care for that either, although I do enjoy a nice broiled or baked Whitefish. Thumbs up

Define "ground pork" That's where the 'disgusting' accusations arise. Scrapple makers are possibly using eveything but the squeal as the say. Eh, hasn't killed me yet!
Now don't ask me to eat chitterlings...no!

One of the vegetables served at yesterday's dinner was small zucchinis sauteed with mushrooms and dressed with just a bit of olive oil and oregano. Boy if that wasn't good! Thumbs up

MMM!
We had a great walk on the bay beach, leaving just in time to beat the tunderstorm home. So I whupped up box macaroni and cheese and buttered peas to go with the ham that was on the oven timer while we were out. Eh, it got the job done for this group!

Today, had the day off so I made meatballs and sauce Thumbs up While at the store NOT finding ground pork for the meatball mix, I figured I could use mild Italian sauasge instead Thumbs up --only to find a package of pork in the freezer at home while digging for the sauage Thumbs up

Sally, those easy meals are often the best! Glad you found the pork!

My friend sent home a container of mixed meats in Tomato Sauce for me and some raviolis. She also gave me some antipasta and a container of fried mushrooms and peppers.. I'll have those along with some brussel sprouts and Ambrosia.

Aren't leftovers great? I didn't even have any of those yesterday as she had a ham and a roasted leg of lamb and about a dozen side dishes. So I'm really looking forward to these tonight. Thumbs up

Quality leftovers are a very good thing. I'm getting a yearning for ambrosia. Oranges, coconut, mini marshmallows..?
Alison, that's disappointing but like you said- when there's a huge meal, poeple just can't manage no matter how delicious the dessert. I wish I could help with your problem!!!!

If they only knew what you endured to make it!!!
My 20 plus yr old can opener is a SwingA Way- course, if you can buy one now who knows if its still any good. It has a wheel cutter and feels like metal core in the handles with a vinyl dip coating.
