Thanks Deb, That is GS JR he took swim lessons this summer again and is becoming an even more accomplished swimmer. Deb took that pic on the last day of class when the parents are permitted to come in and watch what the kids have accomplished over the two week course. He is going to start evening classes soon twice a week for about a month.
Great shot of Jamie Thumbs up
We will be heading to the beach soon and then my Dive trip the end of Oct.

Hi Becky, Hope you are having a great summer.
That is the Susquehanna River about 5 miles from our home. It provides us with a lot of summer fun. One big draw back you can see the towers of 3 Mile Island in the background of one of Deb's pictures. We are just outside of the 5mile limit for it.

I saw them and thought they made a very interesting statement in the background. How deep is the Susqehanna at that place, Holly? It's pretty shallow a bit further up. I am always amazed at how shallow it is up by the Statue of Liberty.

It was fun...I was a lil sore after...mostly shoulders...but Jamie said that I went flying in the air...then skidded across the water:) LOL...I thought that was the greatest fun of it all:)

I love that pic...the look on JR's face is priceless...not sure why he looked so scared...but it was funny!

I actually like the towers:) No one else does...but I think they are interesting too. It was about 6 ft or so...i couldn't touch...but Jamie said he could at one point...Down closer to the dam, I think it was more than that. I remember going canoeing up in that section and the one day my dad and I had to carry the canoe because there just wasn't enough water to keep going. Love the baby liberty...want to take JR up to see it sometime:)

The dept varies there is a dam at Harrisburg and one at York Haven. Josh's place is between those dams pretty close to the one at York Haven. It is pretty shallow just above his place and there are areas around the islands that you have to know how to navigate.

There are so many rocks popping out of that river further north too. I can't imagine any power boats being able to operate up that way. The water is often pretty fast moving for things like kayaking too. Not for the beginner in some spots.
