| I have a couple of handmade sculptures from the Cuban's in the Keys. I LOVE them but due to space, when I had that cage in the living room decoratively that one ended up in there. Now it's out on the side porch...but I didn't have the hands to move the cage in from the porch with a sick dove in one hand and get the parrot out. Wonder what the dove thinks? "Mama!" | Nope! Yesterday he was walking around the cage okay so in the late afternoon Inky and I decided to take him out and set him in the grass to see if he could fly. I took 'Lil bird out along with Inky and the camera. 'Lil bird was quite at ease so I was holding him gently in one hand and trying to get the camera set up. Suddenly 'Lil bird did a power burst right up to the rain gutter where he perched a moment and cocked his head at us, then before I could focus he was above the treetops! The dove family was on the rooftops this morning and, of seven today, I'm pretty sure I could tell which one he was. | Inky was fine, just watched. When we came back in he walked over by the cage, poked his nose toward it and cocked his head at me. I said, "He's better now, went back to his family". InKy said, "Oh, we'll see him outside then?", I said, "um-hum..." That's all (except for one nice linen napkin dedicated to the cause).
