It happens in a flash, but the memory of it last forever. It can not be borrowed or stolen, and it is of no earthly good until it is given away. So if in your hurry you meet someone who is too weary to smile, leave him one of yours, for no one needs a smile quite as much as he who has none to give...

Buddy is about 14 /15 now. Hasn't really had much like these seizures a few odd things that made us wonder if he might have had a small stroke or be suffering from vertigo as he sometimes has trouble walking well but not anything like this. Ric put a ramp from the back deck to the yard for him a few years ago so he doesn't have to do steps. Not too sure how much he sees or hears but just when you think he can't he will see a cat in the pasture and start with that loud basset hound bay of his. He is a beagle/basset mix.
Here he is about 7 years ago helping to teach JR to walk.

Buddy is a lovey, for sure! I hope he starts doing better soon. Waiting for good news about Abby, too!

Eliot kept sneaking down into the basement today whenever I went down with an armful of something and didn't close the door quite securely. What does he think is down there? Sardines & cream?

He comes up very reluctantly in front of me, one step at a time, with my foot half-lifting him to the next step. If my arms aren't occupied, I scoop him up. Of course if Jim or Joyanna call him back upstairs, he'll trot right along. Rolling my eyes.

I couldn't quite figure out what the heck Abby was doing, I guessing she though she was hiding from the big guys Whistling She sat in this flower box around my shed and under a deck for at least 15 minutes. She's lucky it's a bit late in the season and I didn't mind to much that she crushed quite a few impatiens Rolling my eyes.

Holly, he looks like such a love! You can tell you have a great dog when they put up with toddlers without complaint.

I think Muffin has lost his hearing completely. I can clap behind his head and he won't turn. But he can still spot a squirrel at a block away, and he's always been a visual dog. Getting his attention when he's doing something he isn't supposed to (like digging in my garden Rolling my eyes. ) is the only thing that's really difficult. On the plus side, he can't hear the thunder anymore, so storms don't bother him nearly like they used to, and neither does the neighbor's yappy chihuahua.

Ronnie, she looks like she's trying to blend in, just one more pretty flower among the others Hilarious!

I told JR that Buddy is playing with his fluffy bunny toy with our Tristan boy who died of cancer last year. So he is handling it better than me and Jamie now. But at least we have memories and Copper.
