Polaris has expressed a desire to be involved. He'd come dressed in a black and white tux.Thumb of 2011-12-01/jmorth/1bc0d7

It happens in a flash, but the memory of it last forever. It can not be borrowed or stolen, and it is of no earthly good until it is given away. So if in your hurry you meet someone who is too weary to smile, leave him one of yours, for no one needs a smile quite as much as he who has none to give...

Great photos, Karen! I love Butterfly exhibits and a chance to walk among those "flying jewels". I've been to two recently, one at Brookside Gardens in Wheaton, MD, and one at the Phipps Conservatory, in Pittsburgh, PA. Haven't been to LGBG's one ... YET!!! It looks fabulous with some different species other than what you usually see at these exhibits. I especially love those Birdwings - have never seen them before - they're spectacular!

And who knew there were so many types of dragonflies? I didn't until we got our place in the mountains, which has a good-sized pond down the hill. You got some wonderful shots of them too.

And how lucky you got to see a Luna moth! I know they're around, but I've never seen one.

Thanks as always for sharing your beautiful pictures with us. Thumbs up

Beautiful! I didn't photograph much this summer. I know I will be sorry because it was my best butterfly year ever.
