Oh, Jill, I'd love some sun coleus! That other co-op was very confusing for me. Confused Blinking Can I get two?

And thank you for letting us know about the Lee Valley special! I'd been eying a plastic mat for deterring cats and finally ordered it. Thumbs up I hope it works for my own cat and the neighborhood cats who think my garden is a very very large litter box.

I went to Costco today and got a Gold Mop false cypress. I've wanted one for a long time and couldn't pass up the price. I think it was $12! Drooling

Those weeping cherries were gorgeous! Too bad I don't have a place for one right now. I need to get rid of more grass this year! Hilarious!

I didn't see any skypencil hollies or a resin planter, though.

Badseed said she'd have a list for us soon. :-)

We went back to Costco last night, got a 4 pound box of strawberries for $8, and they're delicious (smelled them from the other side of the produce department, so knew they'd be tasty). Huge, too!

SSG, I'll check with you for sure before ordering, and I'll post here again too when the list is set.

I've had good luck with Iris from Snowpeak but am considering Schreiner's this year. Has anyone had experience ordering from them?

That sounds so familiar- I have not ordered but I'm pretty sure I used their web pages as reference for an article. They sound very smart.

They seem to have some pretty good deals on collections and an expensive freebee of the type you order. S&H is not bad. Their catalogue is lovely but I told myself, "no computer play until taxes are done!" So I will be back for chat after that. I have so much 'catching-up' to do on so many fronts. Sorry I haven't been around.

Jamie, I just checked the Garden Watchdog over at DG, and Schriener's has a good rating, with 94 positives, 2 neutrals and 3 negatives. 5 positives in the last 12 months and 1 negative.

The "negative" rating seems to be about a miscommunication rather than poor quality of plants, and an issue with delivery dates, so I wouldn't let that stop me.

I would love to get some new iris, if it didn't mean having to kill off those I already have.

I would love to get some new ----- , if it didn't mean having to kill off ------ I already have. That's the one consolation in a plant death- new plant. And that's also why I generally don't go to extreme lifesaving measures with plants. There's always something else new and beautiful to acquire.

Sally, if there's still grass in your yard, you have room! The kids are almost grown up... they don't need grass anymore... just leave some grassy paths for your pup to run on.

Thank you all, miss you too. I am still under treatment and haven't been chatting because I really don't want to talk about it. Doris, Inky's fine (a bit bored because he is used to more play), he says "woof" to Bandit! Hi Bob , looking forward to my Santa Rosa order; if I recall we were BOTH shipping on May 7th. Sally, Jill is absolutely RIGHT! Barb, thanks for checking on the DG rating (you may have just encouraged me to bury more money).

really though, their Schreiner's shipping starts at $11 for up to 9 plants of the same ship time. Every order receives a a named (and expensive) free plant of the same type (Bearded and/or Syberian) and their 72 pg. Catalogue (usually $5).

On the 'cheap', there is a special of reblooming TBs that includes 6 plants for $38.50. Then other plants can be gotten from $7ea to $infinity, AND the freebee.

That means that for the $11 shipment you can order up to 2 more plants.

So anyway 9 TB plants for [($38.50 + $14)= $52.50, plus $11 shipping] =$63.50 (or $7.05/plant DELIVERED!!!)

GO FOR IT SALLY!!!!!

Look Jill...no grass!
