Thanks for the new thread Barb ![]() Last long day of the week for me, my sister had her first chemo treatment today. We needed to be there by 7:30, leaving here at 7:00 It really did go by pretty fast, I was home by 3:30. Next ones won't be as long, she won't have to go over everything again and not as many pre meds. She did real well and got some good tips from a very nice women who also has OVC. Some things we didn't know to watch for. Some helpful stuff to. Everyone was real nice but so sad to see that all the chairs were filled (15) all day long. That's a lot of people with cancer and that is only one center on one day. Very scary ![]() Wow did it ever get cold...when we left it was a balmy 41 and was down to 32 when we got in the car to come home...so not looking forward to the real cold yet to come ![]() It happens in a flash, but the memory of it last forever. It can not be borrowed or stolen, and it is of no earthly good until it is given away. So if in your hurry you meet someone who is too weary to smile, leave him one of yours, for no one needs a smile quite as much as he who has none to give... |

You're welcome, Ronnie! ![]() Glad Beth's first day of chemo went well, all things considered. How nice that she was able to get some insider tips from others who've been there before her. ![]() ![]() It's been really cold here too, and VERY windy. I think the high was something like 36 or 35. It was almost 60 yesterday, for heaven's sake... What's going on with this see-saw pattern lately? ![]() Breathe in, Breathe out...Move on - Jimmy Buffett |

A little story ![]() Remember Holly's new laundry room with the door from Josh's 1870's house? The one with the reproduction lock set and night latch latch (that has a faulty spring)? No? Well here's the tale: After having a frustrating morning of cleaning up after Alfie ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Well the cur who caused all this days grand events to begin with was out running some errands. Q. How long can you take to fold a load of laundry and dusting the appliances? A. Not long enough!!! It is common knowledge that this unnamed evil can never seem to come directly home from anywhere!. TWO hours pass...Just wait till that unspeakable gets home! ![]() So after greeting the doggie and making another trip to the car I begin to check around for Holly, noting the paused movie and assume she's close by. I go to the utility room to check the stove and glance out back. As I walk over to the back door to look if she's feeding her chicks, I hear her calling me from the laundry. While I'm opening the door I realize she was locked in. She simply says "hours" and gives me a hug. ![]() ![]() The Amen of nature is always a flower. Oliver Wendell Holmes Thanks to Grandma and the joy flowers brought to her and in turn to me. |

Oh No Holly ![]() ![]() Ric how could you ![]() ![]() But thankfully since Holly is OK I can ![]() ![]() From the sound of Alfie's antics I can't help but wonder, if his previous owners left the back door ajar just a tad ![]() It happens in a flash, but the memory of it last forever. It can not be borrowed or stolen, and it is of no earthly good until it is given away. So if in your hurry you meet someone who is too weary to smile, leave him one of yours, for no one needs a smile quite as much as he who has none to give... |

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHH boy, what a day!!! I guess with two hours, Holly worked through all the stages of (giving somebody else) grief, all the way to acceptance ![]() Being locked in or out is such a friustration- makes me never want to ever lock anything ever again Ronnie, I know we all hope Barb does well. Is she feeling OK today? There may be a tiny bit of 'consolation' in seeing that others are dealing with similar problems. It's not just her. OMG! I sure hope Holly doesn't have a touch of claustrophobia. ![]() ![]() I'm sure she'll be keeping her cell phone with her no matter what from now on! Or is that repro lock gonna be fixed or replaced? Glad it's all over now. Hopefully, Holly will think it's funny...eventually! ![]() ![]() ![]() Breathe in, Breathe out...Move on - Jimmy Buffett |
