Hitting lots of milestones this yea
The State Museum in Harrisburg is fun. If you go to my cubit, I did a whole pictorial of our visit on Saturday:) It was a lot of fun and interesting. JR learned a lot, and wants to go back soon. http://cubits.org/familyadventures/thread/view/6979/

The cost is free on the third Saturday of the month. Otherwise I think its 3 for adults and 2 for children. There is also a play area and the planatarium.

Thanks, Deb. That is a great suggestion. Why don't you edit your post and add a link to your thread so we can see it.

Philadelphia has tons of great museums, many within walking distance of each other. They run the gamut from cultural, art, history, ethnicity, technology and oddity. It's a great city for exploring any interest. If you enjoy the shocking, the University"s Mutter Museum is not to be missed. It's collection tells the early history of medicine in the US.

We hope to be able to explore some museum this fall. On Wed, my husband had his appt at the VA Hospital and they will be supplying him with a motorized chair so he can get out and about more. He can't walk much distance now and his legs are becoming increasingly numb. He said I'd better get new sneakers so I can keep up with him.

Pam, I think that the bigger museums all have motorized chairs for rental. Have you been out to the new Civil War museum in Harrisburg?
