Hubby and I did a couple classes with our Rec department for ballroom. Had a fun teacher and liked it, although had to cram it in after his workday. We need to find his notes (what an engineer) and my notes (since when was I ever organized?) and at least try the simplest ones on the cruise. Backstreet Boys were popular then and seemed to work for practice, so they make me think of it.
Cha Cha is fun and flirty!

LOL Yes it is!! I Loved the Cha Cha!!! My real love is The Tango. Now that's a tough one to find a partner for.

We knew the Jitterbug since we were kids as my mom always taught us. Are there any good spots in your area to go for any kind of dancing?

Shw showed us Tango but yeah that's tough, but fun!
Don't know bout where to go. There may be a Ballroom in Silver Spring MD for actual ballroom.

We used to have a country western club nearby where everybody was doing the "boot scoop" and other country dances, but that has since become something else.

There also used to be a place right near here that had dancing every weekend, but it was an older set, and I mean Older. My GF and I went one time, I was about 50, and she was 60 and we were the two youngest people in the place Blinking . They were all doing line dances.

I haven't been out to the night spots in a long time. There is a restaurant in Collegeville, Pa, called DaVincis. On the weekends they have bands and people dance. It's mixed types of music. Depending on the bands, it could be anything from the 50's through the 90's. The crowd seems to be mostly over 30. Jean wearing is very big there.
