He's here and we are all exhausted!! Long day to say the least and the girlies couldn't wait until morning so see him of course so just as we started to settle a bit in they came
Harper is a bit unsettled as I knew she would be but I think in a few days to a week they will be friends. I was more worried with Abby being a senior but she was fine, almost like "are you kidding me another one" kind of look
He did real well in the car, stopped twice, he peed the first time but not the second, made it all the way to our exit from the turnpike, 5 minutes from home and he stared crying, new he had to go...made it home though with no messes.
Hopefully he won't cry too much through the night
Here is is with Luci and Sophie, he crawled right on them By tomorrow it will be definite but seems like Winston is going to win out over Linus...maybe Dino....but Winston is growing on me
Abby checking him out...he will soon tower over her but she is enjoying while she can

So if in your hurry you meet someone who is too weary to smile, leave him one of yours, for no one needs a smile quite as much as he who has none to give...

Thanks guys! It was a long night just like a newborn Extreme crying and pooping
I crated him around 10:00 by 10:45 he was settled some, by one he was up screaming and howling Came down to check on him and found him and the crate covered in poop, after cleaning him and the crate up back in he went, he cried for a bit and fell asleep but I was wide awake By 5:30 he was back up, out he went peed and on the couch we both went, that of course was after a tussle with Harper, he wanted to play and she said no way I figured I had a good restful 2 hours of sleep...ahhh the joys of parenthood

that is the part I don't miss either Ronnie.. but thank goodness it usually doesn't last long.. going to take him a few days to adjust to not being around his family & in a new place
Congratulations on getting him. Winston sounds like a great name for him. If you have one of the old style wind up alarm clocks try wrapping in a blanket. The ticking noise is supposed to simulate the sound of the mothers heart pounding and help them fall asleep.

Sally and Loretta
It's been a long first day...the girls were here again as I knew they would be and wound up spending the entire day...I'm beat and so is Winston...maybe a half decent night's sleep
Abby is tolerating his pestynice pretty well and Harper had a one second break through and gave him a real quick butt sniff...

Welcome home Winston!
In the picture with Luci and Sophie (which is so dear), you can see his looks are already changing to that of a 'Dane. He should be quite a regal looking young prince.
Alfie chases and barks at anything in his airspace. Flys, bees (he eats carpenter bees), airplanes, birds (he really dislikes raptors), and last night lighting. I was amazed, when most dogs at least want away from a thunder storm and others tremble and shake at them, he's chasing lighting, and barking at it for crossing his yard. I don't know if he's feisty or nuts.
The Amen of nature is always a flower.
Oliver Wendell Holmes
Thanks to Grandma and the joy flowers brought to her and in turn to me.

Thanks Ric, I think he has that regal Dane look too but then again I am a bit partial
Alfie sounds both feisty and nuts Isn't that why we love them so much
