It happens in a flash, but the memory of it last forever. It can not be borrowed or stolen, and it is of no earthly good until it is given away. So if in your hurry you meet someone who is too weary to smile, leave him one of yours, for no one needs a smile quite as much as he who has none to give...

So Luvs, I have something for you.
This is my friends new puppy. 3 and 1/2 months, 50lbs, blue GD puppy. I went with her a while ago to pick it up. She took it along to the beach for the first week while we stayed at a house with her daughter and some friends. Then sent it home with her daughter as we can't have dogs at our Condo.

Holly, WOW, Sadie is beautiful and a big girl at 3.5 months! At least it seems that way to me. Hilarious! How did she enjoy the beach?

She is a big puppy. She did like the digging and laying in the sand. Wasn't afraid of the water.

Glad Sadie had a great time!

Did they have "off leash" hours like we've seen at Sullivan's Island? When we were there (SI) earlier this month, it was a doggy paradise, and so entertaining to watch their antics. Many was the time a dog would come up to us, just certain we had some good snacks in the plastic grocery bag I carried for shells, and other times, one would come up to me and drop his tennis ball for me to throw, evidently confusing me with his master/mistress. I'm not sure if there are off leash hours but some people do let their dogs off leash. I don't think they are suppose to. This one guy had two Golden's with him one of them took off like a shot. He saw the birds and ran out into the waves. Then he saw more down the beach and just took off like a shot. We watched his owner run back and forth trying to catch him. He would come back almost and then see something and off again he would go. As fun as it was to watch, I am sure that he upset people but the beach really wasn't very crowded. He did run into a group of small children and scared one of them. I could see people down the beach especially fishermen not looking too happy. But you could just see the joy of the dog and it was so great not to mention laughing at the owner. The two of them were just beautiful dogs, dog show quality bred.

Thanks for the well-wishes. Lovey dubby Husband and I are holding up, but there's definitely a hole in our family. I don't think I've ever done anything as difficult as saying goodbye to my best friend of 15 years (more than half my life - I'll be 30 in a couple months). I know it was best for him, but that doesn't make it any less heartbreaking. Group hug Group hug Group hug

Sadie is a beauty! And huge for 3.5 months it seems - is that normal for a Dane, or do you think she's going to be a big one?
