Thanks everyone, We are slacking just a little this year no swaps or garden tours so I can relax a bit. We have been working in the drive way area. Ric got the wisteria tied up and some more of it bricked in preparation of putting in the arbor but we once again have a few other things that will need to be done first then we will be traveling so I am not sure how soon we will get it up but we are getting closer. We also got a free kidney shaped small preformed pond liner that we added to the water feature we put in last year, it is also a work in progress. You all know that gardens just never seem to be done, always another project.
Bob how do you like your job? Hope the knee gets fixed up soon for you.

I like the job a lot , just hard getting enough hours . Next month I get to go to the nurseries and help pick the trees and shrubs for Fall. Any suggestions of shrubs with good Fall color? Other then the normals like Burning Bush I figure to get some Itea and American Beauty Bush.

Thanks for the suggestions. My Beauty Berry bush gets around 5ft tall and wide, I am surprised they are not that popular.

My Beauty Berry is near the front door and gets lots of attention. This year I bought Viburnum x Bodnantense "Dawn", Viburnum "Handsome Devil, Weigela Ghost and Caryopteris Snow Fairy. I like the late blooms on all the Caryopteris.

Hi JR!
Got snow?
I hang at DG these days as this place is so quiet…DG is quieter too but with my articles there I stuck it out.

I feel like a groundhog, I came out today because it was warmer and a bit of sun. I decided to check in here and say hello and see some old faces and hear some news from home. Nice to see some activity here and hope you are all well and happy. Stay warm and dry. Tomorrow it is to rain again. Lovey dubby

Hi all, JR so nice to hear from you. I still watch all the threads here on Cubit, All things plants and DG.
Ric had back surgery last Nov and is doing very well. It was a long recovery and he still has a way to go getting his strength and stamina back but his Dr is very pleased and has lifted all restrictions. I've been pretty busy taking care of him and the house but he is slowly taking over the chores that he once did. I have been working on a lot of crafts and hope to do some drywall work in the stairwell soon. We didn't get the driveway arbor up last fall, just too many things needed to be done before Ric's surgery and he was in too much pain to get them all done. We are all set to get the Arbor up this spring all the prep work has been done and I started a new small pond project last fall that I can't wait till spring to dive back into.
