My goodness it is cold here today. In the 20s but sunny. Have a good one. |
|
|||
Just went for my walk and it is very cold out. The snow yesterday came just in time for my ride to work of course. |
|
|||
JB it looks like the storm you were mentioning is here, they keep upping the amounts. |

Hey Bob, Hope you are doing better than we are. It started here at the Base about 10 a.m. I had to go into New Egypt to the bank and on the way back it was really snowing and blowing. Got home just in time and have stayed here since. My daughter was down in South Jersey and it took her hours to get back to Chesterfield and then home. My son in law works at the Veterans Cemetery at Arneytown and they buried 9 men this afternoon in all this snow. I see the Governor just proclaimed a State of Emergency so I guess the worst is yet to come. You take care and stay home and warm. I am in until they plow me out. ![]() |

Hi guys, I started back working for a few weeks. It's another temp job just what I like work a little then plenty of time off again. Now when things are pretty quiet is a good time for a temp job. I have been doing a lot of crafts lately. I started back taking Stained Glass classes and am working on a piece right now. Took a class on painting furniture last week. Was really pleased with the piece I did. Plenty of snow here, too. Life is Great! I was lucky and today happened to be one of my days off this week.The snow is not that bad so far about 3 inches, south and east are getting more. Holly I hope you like your new job. When you get a chance show some pictures of your projects. |

It is a warehouse job, I randomly inspect packages that are out bound to make sure they are correct. Don't mind the work, since I don't move around much I can listen to headphones so I have been listening to audio books, keeps the mind busy while the body works. Here are a couple of pics of the chest I painted just a before and after pic. I need to get new drawer pulls for it. ![]() ![]() ![]() Life is Great! Hi guys nice to see some chatter! Glad you checked in Jae ![]() Holly I didn't know Ric was having back surgery ![]() About 12'' of snow here in the yard, snow blower is down so Lou has his work cut out for him. I feel bad since I can't help. It happens in a flash, but the memory of it last forever. It can not be borrowed or stolen, and it is of no earthly good until it is given away. Holly that chest looks great. Wow....you are good. What kind of a piece are you doing with the glass? Do you ever brows around Pinterest.com? They have some great looking glass crafts on there. Etsy does also. I go there when I need ideas if I feel creative. Which is not much anymore since I had to give up needlefelting. I loved that but my arms are so painful when I do it for any length of time I had to quit. I am hoping some day I can start again. I loved doing birds and veggies. I was just starting but I had fun. We had 12 plus inches of snow yesterday and it is very cold here today. It is to remain cold for a week or more and more snow is on the way for the weekend. Having said that, I must go outside and feed the birds and make sure the barn cats are o.k. They have a good warm closed in bed but seldom use it. I am hoping they did last night. Stay warm and have a good day. |

Luvs, So great to talk to you again. Sure do miss you. Ric had 3 vertebrae fused and a laminectomy. Surgery went very well and Dr. is very pleased. He had quite a rough time after surgery and the recovery has been long but he did everything he was suppose to and the Dr has lifted all restrictions. Now it's just a matter of getting his strength back. Since I have gone back to work for a few weeks he now has to carry coal, shovel walks and take care of everything. He said he was getting use to me doing his old chores and isn't sure he wants them back. I will post a pic of the glass piece when I finish it. It is a 25 piece panel of an iris, I love pintrest. Holly the chest looks great. We ended up getting about 4 inches, which is fine by me since this area usually gets more snow then surrounding areas, but wow is it cold out. Mops walk was very short tonight with it only being 5 degrees. Ronnie how are the Danes doing? |
|

Miss you too Holly...miss all the chatter we used to have here...seems everyone is spread out now between Dave's, ATP and facebook ![]() ![]() Glad to hear Ric is getting along, that's a big surgery all right give him my best ![]() Bob the Danes are doing spectacular Harper is staying nice and healthy and will be 6 in April and Winston is a big oaf at 170 and will be 2 in March. He is a sweetheart of a dog but a big barker, actually a yowler, sounds more like a howl, drives my husband nuts ![]() I had to put Abby our bulldog down in July, she just had so many ailments it just wasn't fair to keep her hanging on. I miss her and hope to someday have another bulldog that is healthy. In the meantime we just became first time cat owners ![]() ![]() It happens in a flash, but the memory of it last forever. Sorry to hear about Abby. I saw a picture of your new cat on ATP. Just about every cat my family ever had was solid or mostly black. Boomer passed away last summer at 16 years old. Hope every one can check in once in awhile, it is nice to hear form you all. I hope all is well with stormy it has been way to long without any contact. |

Ric and I were just talking about Stormy the other day. I worry about her, she was in such a bad place with the devastation of the fire last time we had contact. I hope that is all behind her now and she is well. Life is Great! We can only hope that everything is OK, and that one day she checks the site. |

Hi Guys, just wanted to check in and be sure you are all o.k. We are under another small storm alert....another few inches coming today. Not much of the 12 inches we had last week melted yet. This is difficult weather for not only the humans, but the outside range chickens and the barncats. My barn cats are curled up in a "cat house" that I bought them years ago and put up in the loft of the barn with lots of old blankets. The problem is, the starlings come by the hundreds and take the dry cat foot. Never saw anything like it. They clean out all the bird feeders and now the cat food. The neighbors range chickens are not looking too happy. I give them lots of cracked corn but it is too cold for them to come out and eat it. I did see the rooster and a few hens came out to eat yesterday afternoon. Hopefully today the will get more since all the neighbor feeds them is pellets to lay. They need corn to help them make body heat. . Stay warm and well. Hugs to all. |

Hi everyone! I was afraid that MAM was dead. I would check in every once in a while but there was nothing. Glad to see some chatter too. Hoping all those that don't check in on other sites are doing well! I can't wait for Spring! I hate this frigid cold weather! Karen Instead of running after perfection, why not simply walk in faith? |

There were so many hungry birds trying to get to the feeder that I ended up throwing lots of seed on top of the frozen snow. We had male and female cardinals, bluejays and lots of smaller hungry birds feeding here until much later than usual. Had no suet so I slightly defrosted the cups of frozen bacon fat that I had in the freezer. Hope they find a warm place to rest. |
