|Every Tuesday at Teel Auctions on Allegheny Road in Mount Bethel, auctions are held.
At 3 o'clock the real junk auction (my favorite) opens for inventory inspection. It consists mostly of cardboard boxes that people fill up and take to Teel to be auctioned off. You never know what you're going to find in these boxes. Last week I bought a box for $2.00 filled with stuff that no one else seemed to want. There were 4 dozen tiny glass bowls that fit exactly on the windows (top of the bottom window and the sills) into which I put disposable coffee cups filled with seeds and topped with a clear plastic tumbler.
The box also contained a thermos pitcher, an old electric tool/knife sharpener to be used in the garage, 2 glass bowls and a Japanese inspired plaque.
I also bought 4 chairs for the deck so that I can get rid of those green plastic ones that are dangerous when a person leans back on them.
Some Tuesdays we find nothing and sometimes we find exactly what we are looking for. My garage is filled with scooters, wagons, big wheels and all sorts of things that the kids play with when there here.
