Internet connection is giving me fits this morning and I'm trying to view all these great photos!  At some point I hope to post a 'travel log' of our trip to Belize but here's a couple until I do. A friend bought one of these for us after our return, the National Flower of Belize, the Black Orchid (Encyclia cochleatum). I was able to keep it alive for about three years and it bloomed regularly but I finally lost it several years ago.   I was intrigued with their Ceiba trees, the texture of the bark reminded me of elephants!   I thought this Sunrise shot at the last leg of our trip, Ambergris Caye would work for the cover of a photo album of all our trip photos but I still haven't put one together!   |
