I'm not sure if there are off leash hours but some people do let their dogs off leash. I don't think they are suppose to. This one guy had two Golden's with him one of them took off like a shot. He saw the birds and ran out into the waves. Then he saw more down the beach and just took off like a shot. We watched his owner run back and forth trying to catch him. He would come back almost and then see something and off again he would go. As fun as it was to watch, I am sure that he upset people but the beach really wasn't very crowded. He did run into a group of small children and scared one of them. I could see people down the beach especially fishermen not looking too happy. But you could just see the joy of the dog and it was so great not to mention laughing at the owner. The two of them were just beautiful dogs, dog show quality bred. Life is Great!
