Dear Muriel, the wind has knocked down two street trees on Stanstead Road! It was certainly rattling our chimney pots, are you sure the wind was not the after effects of your bean soup?
Regards.
Neil.

It could have (BEAN) both or should I say, "Been both", now it is bright and sunny here, but the tree's across the road are swaying back and forwards, even though it is sunny the sky has started to darken over.

I remember when S/E london and Kent and Kew had the tornado in the 80s, the new houses then in Blythe Lane, a tree came down on a new car, poor Kew lost so many trees hundreds of years old, and Kent trees came down cutting roads off, I brought the girls down from their beds, and their Dad and I stayed in the front room, windows rattled, thought they would come in any minute.

Hi Doris,
Yes the blankets are warm specially if they are doubled up when it is cold indoors, even with the central heating on, that is a bad thing living in 1900 house.

Take care.

It is a wild night here with the wind again! In some places in Scotland some gusts of wind were recorded at 131 mph, that is not funny at all. It is so Grey, wet and windy plus you cannot do anything at all, really gets you down. I want to do the garden and take photos etc. I know my hip will not allow me to do much, but just to get some of the damage cleaned up slowly, would cheer me up!
Mind you we have the Six Nations Rugby (start of), to watch. England played Wales last night and won. Scotland are playing France today and Ireland are playing Italy on Sunday!
So at least that is something.
Hope you are all well.
Regards.
Neil.
