Well, perhaps they need appropriate headgear then because as you see, today, they were wearing Packer's cheese hats! (And the Packers won!) Hurray!

If you post the logo, helmut, or other, I will see if I can help Charleen garb them appropriately.

Regards,
Jamie

The Packers won so everything is in place. We can get the snow to melt & get to gardening.

Don't the tight shorts restrict the player's movements?

See...Neither do the longears, nor Inky so perhaps they are appropriately dressed (for the wong team perhaps?)

We know nothing of this contest...who exactly do you root for?

EGAD! There's a whole new tournament to learn here, let alone the sport itself. Can you do a quick tutorial?

Actually, Jamie, the teams are very similar because the Rooneys, who own the team, believe that the Pittsburgh Steelers do belong to the City of Pittsburgh and that they only hold it in trust. I know the history of both teams, and been to games between them. The competition is on the field. The party is in the parking lot and in the stands. Bratwurst and kielbasa are shared with great enthusiasm, as is favorite liquid refreshment. (Can't remember the name of the beer from up your way, but it was darned good, and it's been a while.)

Now I am ready for the Superbowl in 1967 gear! However how can they call it the World Championship when it is played in the US and not anywhere else?

Dear Neil: Yes, and much sausage is consumed as well. (Just not by me.) Too, here in Wisconsin, there is a tradition of beer/cheese soup. There's a tremendous variety of recipes but the basic sautes standard soup vegetable medley then simmers in seasoned broth, until it is thickened to roux followed by the addition of beer and shredded cheddar. Sometimes browned sausage and/or crisp bacon is added. The local beer and cheese (Wisconsin's pride) makes it (just a tiny bit more) wonderful; or maybe it is simply the pride that does that.

Bonnie: I actually wanted the Steelers in the Superbowl. You are right, the Packers and the Steelers make very good competition for each other. I did not know that about ownership but It seems they both have a trememdous group of fans. I think the beer you refer to must be Miller as they are Wisconsin based and a Packer sponsor. Like sausage, there are so many good beers here given the fresh water supplies and genetic heritages, that I have several other local (microbrewery) favorites if I choose to drink a beer. I like my beer dark so my favorite is their brown ale but "Point" beer (from Steven's Point, Wi) has many terrific varieties (standard and seasonal); try some if you see that brand.
