If you put large things in the centers they might block the sun from some of the vegetables. At least that would be the case in my back yard where I have limited space that gets full sun for most of the day. I love the idea of using the old hole digger for a scarecrow! Oh - don't put a bird bath in with things like lettuce or the plants might get covered with bird droppings. Eeewww
