I am very proud of everyone of you who entered this contest. Keep up the good work.
herbie43 FIRST PLACE
This is a wonderful picture. The only thing I would change, would be to cut bottom
row of rugs off. This would have enlarged the rest of the picture.
mcash70 SECOND PLACE
I really love this. Brings to mind the carol "Silent Night"
Night time pictures are hard to get and this one is very, very, good
adinamiti THIRD PLACE
A really nice picture and good example of the "rule of thirds".
Being off center makes it a much better picture than if the flower was centered
mcash70 FOURTH PLACE
This is a perfect indoor picture. Not too much light, not to little.
HONORARY MENTIONS IN NO SPECIAL ORDER
This one makes me hungry. Indoor pictures are hard to take and food also
is hard to get right in a picture. This was my favorite of all the holiday food pictures.
Love this, very good picture of a happy little boy.
This is good, though I think it would be a better with a little more light. Or if your camera
lets you set the exposure-then a little over exposure would make it brighter
I know this is not what most people would call a Holiday picture but it is a SUPER picture.
Kellie took a so so object and turned it into something fascinating. And it is my idea of a great holiday pictures.
This is a nice picture that needs a little more light
This is a nice example of a picture with a out of focus background. It makes a very, very, nice picture
Another very nice picture, everything is in focus and the lighting is good.
I like this picture very much. You have a good eye for
landscapes. It has a lot of good points but it has a common
problem-this is one I make all the time. The picture is not level.
But it can easily be corrected by cropping it. Many of the photo editing programs
allow you to tilt the crop frame before you finish. Or like me carry a tiny
level with you. They have them that fit on the flash shoe
Both of these pictures are great. They show how almost anything can be made into a great picture.
I know this is not a true holiday picture but I love macro photos and this is a great one.
I feel all of you are getting a lot better. Everyone of you are developing a good eye for what will make a great picture.
But y'all still need some work on lighting and focus, not a lot, but some.
Reflections were a problem in a few pictures. This is a hard thing to fix. I am still trying to learn how to use a Polarizing filters so I do understand how hard to it is to fix this.
