I'll ask my son if he minds that I do that! It would be fun to at least be able to share picture of products I've bought until I can get my own computer and get EVERYTHING installed and working.

I Found My Center!!!!

Gosh I love Quilter's Cache!! This makes a 20" block.
http://www.quilterscache.com/G/GodsEyeBlock.html

btw - putting a 20" center means your quilt will end up exactly square, and for some beds this won't work. If you have a 15 1/2 by 24 1/2" you end up with a rectangle, which is what beds are, and the reason I choose these dimensions.

innocuous program but the computer is HIS. I don't install things without the owner's permission. I WANT that program Angel

Susan, do you know what colors you are going to use... my brain is already perking on what to put with it! when I know colors and what round I am, THEN my little mind will really kick into overdrive! Rolling my eyes.

very true but you could add a border on both ends ONLY and make it rectangular. AND starting with 15.5 x 24.5 it will only finish 9 inches longer than wide.

I'm hoping to go with the colours shown in the picture - black, cobalt blue, and gold - or as close as I can....... I love the rich blue & gold!!
Normally I wouldn't think of the black, but judiciously used, it can be an awesome contrast!!

I haven't gone though my stash though - when I do, I'll post pics of what I'm actually going to use.

I LOVE black, I am always drawn to it as a background when I am at quilt shows. I look the richness and how the brights just sparkle when contrasted with black!

Here is the fabric I'm using for my God's Eye center
Thumb of 2016-02-05/Tallulah_B/799412

And here is the pattern. I'd hoped to find an electric blue or China blue to make it similar to the original, but I do like the cobalt blue I found in my stash Thumbs up

It will be a 20" center

yes, it sure does! I'm looking forward to seeing your birdhouse panel Ears perked up!

I know my center is going to be fairly easy to cut and put together - I'm looking forward to what it will look like when I'm done Whistling Hilarious!

As the middle of February is coming up, it looks like it's going to be this group as it is.
Whistling I hadn't realized where I put myself in the group Hilarious! it doesn't matter to me where I am in the group, for putting borders on. Just something that Pat said about being 2nd in the list Whistling

Couldn't understand the instructions, so went to You Tube.......... made it perfect, but....... 1 1/2" too big Rolling on the floor laughing
Well, I've got that straightened out, and will move "onwards and upwards" Thumbs up

I got my center done! It's a little "off-center" Hilarious! but I'm good with it all the same. It's the first piecing that I've done since April of 2015, and I kinda lost my brain cells along the way Big Yellow Grin I think I found enough grey cells to do what I've done now Thumbs up
I'll be sending it on early next week, and Becky - you should get it by mid-March at the latest (cross border) Smiling
