Good job Susan. It will be interesting to see what borders are added. I meant to ask why you would hold all the pieces coming to you for so long? The others won't be able to sew along if you do...

Don't need to hold all the pieces - you can send them as you finish. It was in consideration of those who may have to send cross-border (to me, for instance, in Canada), but surely it would be faster to send each as you get them.
I will get mine off either today or tomorrow.

Don't forget - we have the thread "work in progress" for those who want to watch along. I know some want to be surprised, but I want to watch!!

No, but I got the center panel cut out today. Wont be long.

Im a little worried 2 inches isnt very wide, and also that the inner border is usually not fussy. What if we think just a plain piece of fabric ( not pieced) would work.....the perfect fabric of course.

My center isn't fussy, so a fussy border on it would be fine.
It's up to each individual person as to what they have, or "see" going next to the center. It's almost impossible to think ahead to what will go with it. It's an individual choice with SO many permutations - as many as there are quilters around the world.
btw - a border can be several strips sewn together. I did that once, when it "called" for it.
I sewed 2 strips together to make one 3" border. As long as it totals the amount needed, it's whatever works. Here's my example of what I did - the floral & the white were joined to make one border.

It would not be unusual for a 2 inch border to be a single strip of color.

If any centers go to my current address, my landlady will let me know and I will just get Bob to pick them up is all.
Don't worry about which address they go to. I have a redirection for the Post Office until Mid June, then everything goes to our mobile home, so it's all good.

I was at a LQS and saw the coordinating fabric for Angie's center... I haven't stopped to calculate "what round" I have to sew on!

Thanks Susan! I knew when it got here I could just count the rounds and know where I was but I'd like to be "thinking" about what I might do depending on what goes on before me.

It's all good Smiling

btw - does everyone have the address of the person they're to send to? I'm not sure if I posted all addresses anywhere.

If you need an address to send to, I have them.
If you'd like me to post the list of addresses I can do that too. If you'd rather not have your address posted to all, that's your call.
Please let me know your thoughts and opinions Smiling
