this was a help a kitchen remodel.. where the owner didn't want to go through the approval process with the coop board..of removng the cabintes... so with new cabinet doors.. and covering the floors.. walls... counters.. and cabinet frames with black granite.. with a bit of detailing in white marble.. just to break up the monotony.. it was redone..Thumb of 2011-03-25/GordonHawk/20a559

dropping the sink 1/4 inch into the formica counter top.. one can overlay the granite over the counter..and sink.. to give it the look of an undermounted sink on a granite slab.. at a fraction of the cost..

I always recomend covering every window sill n marble.. it catches and reflects the light.. making it brghter.. and is easy to keep clean of the soot/dust blowing in..

also.. although not shown.. the old cabinets are made better than new.. with the black grante on the shelves inside the cabnets.. and marble on the drawer bottoms.. making it a joy inside and outThumb of 2011-03-25/GordonHawk/545d4c

I really like redoing the interior of the cabinets and drawers with the granite and marble. That is such a nice upgrade!

WOW Gordon! You've done it again! Beautiful job and I'm sure this kitchen will be enjoyed for many years thanks to your ingenuity! Love the way you've used the granite. It's so much easier to clean up and keep clean than wood and paint.

Thanks so much for sharing this project.

If you are still looking for counters, I know that https://marble.com/countertops was really helpful when I was doing my kitchen. Hope that helps!
