We've gutted and remodeled this bath last year. We did all the work ourselves, except for the tile work. We moved all the plumbing except for the toliet. Moved the shower and made two separtate areas. One space has my sink and the shower, then behide a door is my husbands sink, the toliet, and a closed cabinet and shelves which houses the hamper/linen and the hot-water heater. I also made a stained glass insert for the wall between the bedrm and bath.

Thank you. The color is a Behr semi-gloss called Grounded. It's looks pretty orange when it gets the afternoon sun; but calms back down in the evening.
What'ca painting?

is your bathroom painted in two different colors? it looks like the center photo is a darker color? or maybe no flash?

It's one color, but the color changes so much from lighting that it often looks like two or three colors in the same room.
Post photos of your newly painted walls. Lest our H brought home "good" colors; my H's office is Red. I'm still trying to like it!

Jo, you all have done a beautiful job on the remodel. My bathroom is so outdated that I do hope it is next on the list of rooms to work on.

I have major sink envy here. That sink is gorgeous! I'd love to see more of this bathroom.

I want a major size bathtub because I take a bath every night. Hubby wants a major size shower because he doesn't FIT in the bathtub without his knees sticking out.

Our bathroom is a hollywood style bath where there is a potty and sink in two rooms (L shaped) with the bathtub/shower combo in a separate room between them. I'd love to get rid of that tub and put in a waybigo tub. Even if it meant doing away with the second bathroom that opens into the master bedroom (that we don't use except when my mother is here for the holidays). The room we use is actually bigger, but has no bath attached to it.

I bought the sinks from a dealer on Ebay; $125 including the faucets and shipping! I was darn happy about that find. I bought three, two for the master bath and one for the guest bathrm.
So you want a Jet tub? that would be great.

okay where is the link to that dealer?? LOL!

DH brought home 'flicker' which is the peach looking paint and 'english rose' which is a dark rose color....hmmm. The english rose matches the diamonds in our tiled floor. will be interesting to see how well it looks with the peach LOL!
Most of the walls will be done in peach and the darker rose will be behind huge double mirrors.

Once the paintings done, I'll come post pix. Hopefuly we'll get the cabinets finished sometime this year too LOL!

I've never particularly cared for peach before, but that's the color I chose for my kitchen. I know it's not a traditional kitchen color, but I loved the way it brought the stained wood and the granite counters together.

We have one of those Sherwin Williams color chip sample books and I had a rainbow of colors to choose from. That was one of the perks of having a carpenter that does it all. Because he works for a major contracting company they gave him the book thingy. Big Grin

Janet, what stain did you use on your wood? My bath is white washed oak cabinets (once they are done) and cream color tile everywhere, shower, floor and counters. so it looks bland right now Sad

maybe we need a color or decorating thread? Big Grin Whistling

Hmmmm.. that sounds like a good idea.

Our kitchen cabinets are Antique Walnut. We bought the PolyStain and did it all in one fell swoop!

Jo, I posted them in the decorating thread http://cubits.org/Remodel/thread/view/8414/
We started painting, but now DHs shoulder is bothering him :( so looks like I may have to finish it LOL. I have neck problems...so am alot slower painter than he is.

Now I see you are almost neighbors! and a motorcycling travel thread...uh oh! I sold my bike when I married DH, he has not rode a motorcycle in 40+ yrs and was scared to have me on one...so. now, I regret selling, but probably for the best. I'll have to come see that cubit tho! LOL!

Well.. I just covered the bath in marble yesterday.. so I'll post a few pictures of it... this marble... while not my all time favorite... was homedepot's .. none cheaper .. at $3.50 or so a square foot.. I heard the co-op might be sold... so I thought it would be good to enjoy it til then... then it surely would help the sale..
I made a new toilet top... so it bcomes a nice shelf going to the wall... rather than the rounded over old one where things would roll off.. corner shelves... and the towel bars were bent from some left over brass I had used to edge the black granite of the kitchen counters.. sharp corners rounded over with a Lowe's detail strip..
I'd made a bathroom sink of marble years ago here.. we'll get a photo that shows it also

OK...here's the sink photo.. it's made like a shower is made but is short and up off the floor.. there's plenty of storage in the bathroom with big cabinets behind the mirrors... so the mirrored cabinet that the sink sits on... is a 4' long cabinet with two sliding drawers... that is accessed from the kitchen
