actually, the snowmen are machine embroidery designs and are a double running stitch, if I remember correctly. Hubby bought me a Singer Quintet for Christmas a couple years ago, and I download a lot of designs. It hooks up to the computer for internet access and I download to an external hard drive. Other machines use memory sticks, etc. I like to try out new designs like applique, candlewicking, etc. for quilt blocks, totes, Bella's clothes.. but you sure can't beat my old machine that I've had since 1972 for regular sewing! My Quintet does well, but is a lightweight compared to my old one.

This is the Yahoo group I was referring to:
no fees to join, just have to subscribe. They offer tons of design sets, holiday and others, free or paid for. I made a couple extras when I made Pat's and put them with some other test blocks because I wanted to make a runner from the redworks. Now I just have to find them... lol
Isn't that always the way???? Rolling my eyes.
