Well wishes are requested for my poor little Baby Girls Bastyboo (Bast). She's a 16 year old kitty who's on her last legs... she's now battling an infection on her head that keeps developing into a huge abscess. It's quite disgusting. She's on antibiotics and be taking her back to the vet on Wed.
Oh Toni I'm so sorry and praying for Bast Our grand cat in OH has been getting abscesses on her head and has to take antibiotics for them. She's only 4 and the vet is suspecting an autoimmune disorder. I didn't know pets had autoimmune disorders.
she's alive and... well, not "well", but as well as an ancient cat can be. The antibiotics are definitely doing their job.. her voice is stronger and her abscess is gone. But she's terribly thin, doesn't walk very well, and can't remember where the litter box is. Heck, I think 90% of the time she doesn't know where SHE is. Cats can & do develop dementia, and she has it very badly. Not her fault. But she still loves her Daddy, still wants to eat, and doesn't seem to be in pain, so not going to take drastic measures unless she tells me to.
