There's another one that may be an Arucana ? (fluffy head) that I couldn't get a picture of.

Bottom is probably a Buff Orpington http://www.backyardchickens.com/t/236271/buff-orpington-roos...

I just said what I think they are. #1 & 2 are probably Ameraucanas ... they don't have the cheek tufts though. The black & white probably is a Barred Rock & the bottom is probably a Buff Orpington. Based on what I can see, looks like everyone except the very top picture is a roo. The top looks to be a hen, or his comb got frosted off.

Toni,
They are SO cute and I love Ripley!

Arlene,
Cracking up over "Of course not, but when I talk to him or Ira next I'll try and find out and maybe take some pictures."
BEAUTIFUL!!

Sara's chickens. All I know are the Chantecleer chicks from 2006. Dominiques from 2006 Banty Roosters. Various from 2009 and 2011 and her free Polish ''Cotton Top.'' Her colored eggs.

Only a few people here keep them. I think one needs a special permit.

5 people in Nichols have chickens. All allowed by city code. That's a pretty good number. None of them in my end of town, which is divided by the highway.

Susan - I'll probably only keep half.. I don't want any more than 6 chickens.

I bought a coop today. It was on sale! The one I was really wanting was $600.. that's way out of my budget. This one, yes, I had to really drive out there to go get, but it was on sale for $299 and is almost as big as the one that was $600!

https://www.innovationpet.com/collections/coops-feathers/pro...

I won't need to build it for a while, but I want to get it built, so I probably will be doing that, not next weekend, but the following weekend.

Toni, the new chicks are soooooo cute Lovey dubby I would love to have a few chickens one of these days but need to learn how to raise and care for them first. Mike's family raised chickens, and actually most of their food, when he was growing up in the Adirondacks, but I've don't have a clue. It was a lot of years ago for him so I'm not sure how much he remembers. After his parents divorce when he was a young teenager, his mother remarried a man from their small town but who was in the Navy and stationed here in DC. No more chickens. He probably remembers how to care for them more than he lets on - I've been hinting at it for years and he doesn't seem as enthused about the idea as I am Whistling That is a nice looking coop.

Oh my gosh Toni!
What a deal!!! I love it!!!

Terri,
The chicken poop is the best fertilizer around as long as it's aged. It's a hot manure, as opposed to a cold manure like sheep poop.
The Amish use it for their roses and their roses are beautiful!
