I didn't post pix of some of my other new girls.. these particular ones are 1.5 years old and are americaunas. They will guarantee lay beautiful blue eggs. I know the breeder & have gotten beautiful birds from him before. Never be afraid of a scar. It just means that you were stronger than something that tried to hurt you. Arlene - Actually, I'm getting 99% of these girls as adults from those who don't want them. So kinda cheating that way. And hardly ever eat eggs.... So here's some pictures of some of the new girls. 5 Girls. 2 Easter Eggers, 1 Black Australorp, 1.. Black Sex Link? not sure, and a Speckled Sussex. Speckled Sussex (Freckles) and Australorp (Sheila). The green or purple tint on a black chicken is called 'beetling" of the iridescence reminds you of a bright beetle. Yellow Cuckoo Orpington chick (Lemon Drop) and Lavender Orpington pullet (Lav) Blue Americauna (Sparkle) & Splash Americauna (Splash) I'll try to get pictures of other new girls tomorrow or Sunday. John has a psychosomatic allergy to eggs. He refuses to eat anything with eggs other than baked goods. So we just give them to neighbors & he takes them to judo. Never be afraid of a scar.
