| Ok, got the last of the chicks for a while. I need to get that bunny hutch in this weekend as the Marrans & Araucanas are getting so big... they're taking up most of the space in the brooding cage! But I went to Murdoch's again last night as they had a sale on chicken supplies & I wanted to get a new feeder & waterer for my new hutch. They had just gotten in a new shipment of babies, so two came home. Walking Cottonballs!! White Silkies! | Silkies don't get very big.. probably 4-7" tall and 1-2lbs max. They're kind of a weird chicken as their skin & organs are all black and they actually have 5 toes on each foot rather than the normal 4. I've had them in the past: 2012    2013     2014 (Nike had to check it out.. no chicks or cats were harmed)       but none in 2015 or 2016. Never be afraid of a scar. | Got the bunny hutch in the house, moved the bigger chicks into it. Got super busy last night with movie, then super busy today. Spent some time with them today, got lots of pictures. Here's the Cuckoo Marrans & Araucanas. Amazing what 3 weeks does!     The younger babies all in the brooder cage w/the heat lamp.   Blue Wynadotte   Silver Laced Wynadotte   White Orpington  Silkies w/other chicks (White orp & Silver Laced)   Columbian Wynadotte w/Sparticus.  Never be afraid of a scar. | wow. big chicken. This is a Light Brahma, which I've raised before, but holy moly, mine were normal sized, not Godzilla sized.
