The dry side of Oregon
Be yourself, you can be no one else
Today I watched owls and I'm sure they also watched me as I worked to keep everything watered in the vegie garden, deal with weeds, look for beans and corn that are popping up, hook up the rest of the drip lines, test the system for leaks, mark the setting on the manifold so that the whole drip system can be turned on and not blow a line off with too much pressure, water the rhubarb so it will be nice and crisp when I gather some to take to the co-op tomorrow. I also mowed the lawn and used the clippings to lightly mulch the corn, beans, and raspberries. The grapes got the excess. Oh yes, and I caught a gopher! I'm sure there are more. Our temperature reached 92 today. Tonight there is a lightning storm south and east of us. Not close enough to hear thunder.

Black Cat was here for breakfast, and is here again tonight, lying around and visiting. Meow, meow. Friendly meows.
Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most.
