The dry side of Oregon
Be yourself, you can be no one else
The tomatoes outdid themselves and my expectations this year. So far I have canned 7 quarts and 27 pints of them and have close to that many more waiting to go into jars. The last of the cucumbers, summer and winter squash have been picked, and those plants pulled up. The drip lines have all been pulled out and some of the hoses have been coiled up and put away for winter. Frost has killed most of the garden so I've been spreading those leaves I salvaged last fall onto the empty garden rows and covering them with compost. Rick will hook up the rototiller to the smaller tractor and do some deep tilling as soon as we get enough rain. We have had a few showers. Today is cold and windy.
Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most.
