These are not quilts I made, but rather quilts I have from my mother, my aunt and my grandmother. I wanted to post photos here so I have them at my fingertips. This is one of the quilts I thought I had lost which just made me sick. It is an antique quilt a friend had started and gave to me. I then gave it to my mother. There were pieces missing but she was able to find matching fabric to finish it. She HATES doing applique but she did it for me. Notice the quilting pattern in the last photo. All hand quilted. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The funny thing is, I found another applique one she did as well. I had forgotten about it. ![]() ![]() And an embroidered one: ![]() ![]() ![]() An embroidered one from my Aunt Leona ![]() ![]() And two really old ones. Not sure which of my grandmother's made them. ![]() ![]() And the Dahlia one my mother made for me ![]() ![]() And finally, one we bought on a visit to Lancaster. It was at a shop David's sister knew the women who ran it. Amish made, totally hand quilted too. Star over Georgetown. ![]() ![]() ![]() Oops, here's the second old one. A pink embroidered rose. ![]() ![]() |
