|We always cut ours into recognizable pieces and used 1 gallon zip locks. When packaging cut up fryers put the breast pieces in the bag first, then the back and neck so that any sharp bones are cushioned, then thighs and wings on top. Expel as much air as possible by immersing the bag in water and then freeze it on a cookie sheet in as flat a package as possible. When frozen they will be flatter, allowing you to stack them and they will also take up less space. Label the bag before filling it.
