|Karen - You can have whatever browser you want for your default. Windows can't force you to use Edge if you don't want. Here's a step-by-step on how to choose your default browser.
First, down in the search bar on the bottom task bar near the Start button, type in "default". It will autofill with "default app settings"
Click on the top thingie, which is Default App Settings
That'll bring you to a new dialog box, which shows the defaults for most programs. Down towards the bottom is for Browser. It'll show you what's defaulted.
Click on whatever it shows is the defaulted.
That'll bring up yet ANOTHER box. This shows what you have installed on your computer. If you have Firefox or Chrome, it'll list that. Just click on whatever you want to use.
If you don't have Chrome installed (I'm using that as an example) or Firefox, or Opera/Lynx/etc, then you have to download them. Do NOT use the Windows App Store. It doesn't have the other browsers available. You have to go to that specific website.
You just click on the download and it *should* do everything else for you, including importing any tabs/bookmarks/passwords/etc.
