| I have garlic sprouting all up and down the rows! Beautiful green spikes sticking up through the straw mulch. It really doesn't take much to make a gardener happy! Today I've been on my knees working on a flower bed that I hope to finish today. Quack grass had about taken it over. I gave up weeding and pulling the roots out from a few wimpy daylily sprouts, so I dug up the whole mess, separated the daylilies and replanted them in clean spots. Clean for the time being. There were 9 little plants so I put them in two groups. The tag says they are "Fire Escape". I hope they bloom this year but I have to be realistic.
