Can you believe that last one came from the cross of DS Night Lights x self?

Finally...it isn't even fully opened, but I couldn't wait for you to see it..it looks like a meteor shower! The second plant to bloom looks like it will be a peach color.

Karen -
I think Meteor Shower would be the perfect name for it unless another strep already has that name! Mine are nowhere ready to bloom yet. I ignored them after my hip surgery and they really wanted to be repotted so I guess I am the loser in this ontest.

Gorgeous Betty. I still have two more to bloom and am hoping for a fantasy but none so far. Some real stunners but no fantasy. Of the nine plants, believe it or not I got three of the burgundy ones and the flowers are all identical. Go figure. Tony

Awesome Karen. Isn't it cool that our favorite "Fantasy Lady" got a fantasy from the seeds. I am jealous. Tony

This was actually a selfing by Nancy, not me.
I do however, have several fantasy selfings "cooking" right now!

This "fantasy lady" does want a piece of THAT one when and if it can be shared! Nancy will have first dibs of course!

Nancy, Pavel has a new fantasy hybrid that he named DS-Meteor Shower. I'll bet we can come up with a great and original name for this one this one though!

Hurray!

Google search "Starfield"....
then look at the images!

There are also many well known meteor showers that occur every year... The Orionid, Leonid, Perseid, etc...

Thumb of 2014-04-29/BettyCessna/3759dd Another of the Night Light seedlings, not fully open, but what a surprise. It sure doesn't resemble it's sibling.

My seedlings are not close to blooming. I planted the seed one week after it arrived. I have one plant pretty far along. There are new green specs coming up just now!

Amazing how different these seeds perform!!!

I only planted half of mine at first, then planted the rest later. They are just small yet. (I never like to put all of my eggs in one basket.)

Mine are only about 2 inches tall. I planted them right after they arrived and have jiggled or repotted them at least three times. Don't know why they are so slow? Maybe it's rubbing off from me?

Thumb of 2014-05-07/BettyCessna/cc8f70 I am more surprised than ever to see this Night Lights selfed , seedling #3. It is a semi or double.

Betty -
I am surprised also! This didn't come from the second packet of seed that I sent?

Nancy, they are still much smaller, and not near blooming. I kept the project ones in an upstairs bedroom that was much warmer than the basement lights. Would it be possible that one of the seeds got into the wrong package before you sent them? Does it look like what you expect from the second package? Is it a double or semi?

The plants from the second pack is much smaller, and not near blooming. I kept the project streps upstairs in a bedroom that was about ten degrees warmer than the basement lights. They were sown in different containers, but tiny as those seeds are, one may have stuck to the paper that I sprinkled them from. Are they semi or double? That one certainly isn't what I expected rom Night Lights..

Seedling number 4 opened, an exact match for seedling number 2.
