I have a few small plants and would like to know how big they should get before it's safe to take a leaf off to propagate?

Personally, I take a leaf off when they are 3" in length or longer. Younger leaves root more quickly in many cases. It all depends on your comfort level. Unless the plant is in decline, I usually wait until it grows out awhile.

Thanks. My new plants only have about 6 leaves so I probably should wait? I agree

Laura, I would. When it has a few more then I would take one. Smiling
