Summer Solstice/Midsummer/Litha is the next pagan holiday on the calendar.
Many pagan paths follow a Wiccan style wheel of the year, some non Wiccan paths share some of the same holidays and even those whose belief systems aren't Wiccan or Wiccan influenced may celebrate the holidays on the wheel just cuz anytime is the right time for a party!
Do you do anything for the Solstice? If so please share with us what you do.

Wow, summer solstice already and I still have my winter decorations up on the walls. I am falling way be hind. Yea if I wait a few more months I will just be a little early with my decorations.
the group i practice with is having a ritual sunday afternoon. we take turns writing the rituals and whoever shows up gets to participate in the different parts. they usually follow a pretty basic wiccan structure but every so often someone's research or personal approach takes precedence and those are the ones i like the best. but at least it is always something new, with different people writing them. we meet outdoors in a dedicated circle which is a fun setting for any ritual.
This is just an odd note on the solstice: every year, and this has gone on for as long as we've had Amish neighbors, the horses in the neighborhood neigh (ok, sorry) through the night on Mid Summer's Eve (the hound dogs bark, too, for that matter, but that isn't unusual). I have no explanation, but I've taken note of it several times, and it happened again last night.
This is a place for pagans of all paths and anyone else who wants to join in. Everyone is welcome here.
