| I posted this on Lavonne's Yule article but just in case you missed it. To me this solstice is the first day of spring. I went out to dance with the rising sun this morn as I do every year at this time. I hugged the big old green ash whose spirit is deep down in the earth right now. The green ash is near the end of its life and is the slowest to return in the spring so I always share a part of this day with it. As I moved away from the ash BONK! a small branch fell on my head and sent me flying into a snowdrift . Being flippin freezin I was dressed like the michelin man with my hood up so all I ended up with was a face full of snow. The moral of the story is: Don't hug a sleeping tree. It might wake up grumpy.  |
