A Mexican style BBQ Sauce recipe Blazin BBQ Sauce Ingredients 2 tbsp olive oil 1/2 cup chopped yellow onion 2 tbsp minced garlic 1/3 cup malt vinegar 1 tsp ground cumin 1 tbsp dark chili powder 1 cup ketchup 3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar 1/4 cup dark soy sauce 2 tbsp worcestershire sauce 2 tbsp Chipotle puree Heat the oil in a saucepan. Add the onion, garlic, cumin and chili powder and saute until the onions are soft. Add the malt vinegar and deglaze, stirring to remove all the flavor buds stuck to pan bottom. After a few minutes and all are loosened, add the rest of the ingredients and simmer about 5 minutes. Turn off burner and remove pan from burner. Allow to cool about 10 minutes. Transfer to a Food Processor and puree all well. Best stored in a ketchup style bottle. Keep refrigerated. |
