I'm so excited that my two year old rooted fig cutting has little babies. I hope they stay on long enough for me to get a taste....yummmm!!

The deer always get ours first. Last year I thought I would fake them out by putting bird netting over the trees which are still small, it worked well except a huge rat snake got caught in the netting and we had a time getting him out. After all that snake wrestling I did not want to eat the few figs that survived our manhandling.

The Tropics and Tropicals

Tropics and Tropicals is about living, growing, and simply loving the tropics and tropical plants. I urge anyone to let me know about a tropic they would like to discuss and we will make it happen.
