I have always been fascinated by the life of flowers and doing pictures of a stage which does not seem to be interesting ny many but do yu know that a photographer from Japan is doing a lot of photographs only of fading flowers? And it is beautiful.

Dahlianut, mine is just now starting to open. They do very well here in the Willamette Valley. I have some others back in the little woodland. I will have to go check on them in the morning and see if they are getting ready to bloom. : )
I dont grow any but I love rhododendrons too. Some gardens in Brittany are full of them and of hortensias. So many different and so beautiful. Tell us about what's going on in your little woodland Lynn.
All beautiful flowers Lynn. I want to see the blooms..Overall Belacamda Chinensis. A friend told me that they were coming easily from seeds. Did you have a try? Your astilbe has a very delicate foliage and I never seen a Dicentra 'Gold heart'. Great. Did you choose it for the name o for the look? Never seen Epimedium sulfureum either. Is it a large plant?
Thank you for posting these.

It is not a large plant in height, but the plant increases in circumference with time. Evergreen and does very well in dry shade. This is a four year old plant.
