Thanks ValleyLyn for the links. The Canadian supplier Veseys offers one mix of species tulips in their fall catalogue. I will post a link when it's on their site. (There are extra shipping costs and the cost for the phytosanitary certificate that US suppliers have to get when shipping to Canada so I will post Canadian suppliers for people like me )
Dalhianut, Thank you to think about this. Hope you will provide us with some links to find Tulipa bulbs both in Canada and the US.
As they are sometimes difficult to find all the information are welcome. And as soon as the fall catalogues are available prepare your orders. The sooner always the better and the best time for planting is September.

I found this wonderful nursery just about an hour from my house. Wild Ginger Farm raises many alpine type plants. At the bottom of this link are some of the species tulipa she has. http://www.wildgingerfarm.com/DwarfBulbs.htm#LilacWonder
It was such a fun amazing nursery to visit, she is a lovely and knowledgeable lady.
Thank you Lynn for posting this link. You noticed that they are speaking of T. Tarda, species tulips that was named 'Dasystemon'.
Nice bulbs and nice link.

As long as you know it Lynn...somehting I do not not however is why names are changing. I did not look at this part of the Tulipa genus yet.
It is just that if you tell me a table is a chair there is no way to understand each other. It is the same for the name of plants and that is really confusing sometimes.
