![]() I am heartbroken. 250 tulips were eaten by VOLES. Has anyone had any experiences ridding the garden of these awful things? They ate a small tree and now are working on the roots of a rosebush. After the tulip feast I am sure they must have multiplied like mad. ![]() Janice |

Sandnsea2 You probably live at the countryside, don't you? Voles love the country side. I gave some very rare tulip bulbs to a friend having a house at the countryside and she had the same problem and was also really heartbroken. I would advice to protect your bulbs with a net, in the ground and on the ground. These little beasts are taking all the ways to damage. Among some advanced gardeners someone noticed that if you put your tulips bulbs between iris rows voles do not come around to eat them up as it seems that they do not like iris roots, doing a protection screen. ALL of them has been eaten? C. Come along and take a walk in a French garden~~Click here for Species Tulips and other bulbs. Maybe 6 are left. I am using bait and sending the voles to vole heaven, as they are now eating my rose bush roots and I have some valuable trees which I will not let them get. Thanks for the advice. Now I know why they left my Iris alone! Janice |
