Something I do not understand as in the South of Spain pomegrante are fruits you open with little red corns. I have been gogling and yours does not give you any fruit Lynn right? Our summer nights are to cool for it to set fruit, so it is just for it's beauty I grow it. Where I grew up they grew everywhere and I loved eating the sun warmed fruit. The red juice would stain my hands, face and clothes. It is making my mouth water thinking of it. : ) |

Gardens and roses are a very old tradition in my family and I wanted to share with you all a very special picture representing my mother when a little girl disguised into a rose, her friend being a cornflower.. ![]() ![]() ![]() on the last one part of the kids of the family, I am on the left and we are holding rabbits. At the countryside, when I was an indian but was obliged to pretend sometimes to be a real girl, just for the pics. C. Nice to see you posting Dee. This year I forgot to plant some Sterbergia Lutea bulbs. Have a look here http://cubits.org/Tulipa/thread/view_post/768425/ These bulbs behave as the Colchicum ones: they can bloom withtout being planted. To address your question yours should bloom. Depending on the spot where you put it They are of course vblooming earlier in a very sunny spot. Some here did not bloom yet either. Be patient. Colchicum Alboplenum bulbs are quite difficult to find even in Europe and quite expensive. You cannot buy many at the same time. They are sold by unit. They really worth to be in the garden anyhow. Strong, beautiful, reliable. A Colchicum bulb is bigger than any Sternbergia lutea ones. I hope you will find some in the US.
