How big are the toads?

Getting a bunch of tad poles that will grow into what I call tree frogs about the size with legs of a quarter green and loves to sign...

Love your photos, Catherine!

While viewing the Echeveria setosa var. ciliata last night, I was reaching to pull the "hairs" off the plant while wondering what in the world they may be and where they came from...! I then realized that there was a creature tucked between the leaves of the rosette on the back side... He must be in the "Daddy Longlegs" family! These legs are all of 4" (100mm) long. I've not seen one like this before. - Arlan

Thank you Arlan and thank you for posting this weird one. Legs of a model for sure. Looking at it I am hesitating between a spider and a daddy long legs (long time I did not hear this and I love that name). You should ask JRbugs to identify it as I cannot tell you exactly what it is. Good and funny pics. Thanks again.

What a beautiful bird Catherine. Today you and Arlan have treated me to many wonderful photos. One of my favorites is the toads. I love to listening to them sing. We also have the little green tree frogs that sing me to sleep at night.

Thank you Lynn. Love to read that you are toads and tree frogs singing during the night. I did not know that could be so common. Do you have many sources or water around? Have you got any pictures of your tree frogs? I would love to see them.

I don't know what this first insect is, it flies. Many spotted Coccinellidae, Lady Bug.

I love when the Lady Bugs show up and even more fun when the Lady Bug dragons hatch. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coccinellidae
