Boyed wrote: Hi Zirhair First welcome to this cubits. I am delighted to meet you. You are raising a very interested matter and I would like to discuss further about it. As far as tulips are concerned I do not have many sources to confirm some of the IDs but in Europe, and as far as I know, Dutch people are tulip breeders since a very very long time. However the most beautiful wild tulips come from other places. I dont know which ones are growing wild in yoru country. I got my 'historics' (I am very fond of all historical plants) come from reliale providers from Holland. I have some others I did not post yet. So you think that the ones I have are wrong and that some has viruses right? I hope you will come over this cubit next spring so we can share our knowledge with all the tulip lovers. What you are telling me is very interesting. Right now here the little urumiensis tulips are showing up, the T. Kaufmanniana is blooming and some K. hybrids are starting to bloom. I am very excited about meeting you. Thank you for your posts. C. Come along and take a walk in a French garden~~Click here for Species Tulips and other bulbs.
