![]() I have to remember to take photos of my fall crocus I just found coming up. : )[ |
Do you already have crocuses growing on Lynn? Muscari here are quite tall but I did not see the autumn crocuses growing on yet. Something funny. When I lokked at the thread the pictures of the previous post were into thumbs and after an internet cut and a new connection they did come back! Weird isn't and have already posted on embedding images to tell Dave and Trish: Come along and take a walk in a French garden~~Click here for Species Tulips and other bulbs. I love nasturtium. Love their wonderful bright colors and their peppery taste in salads and sandwiches. : ) Is the fruit of Cyphomandra betacea (Solanaceae) edible? |
Hello Lynn, yes this Cyphomandra betacea (Solanaceae) is edible, look likes a prune but you have to pick up when it is really ripe, never tried them before but they must be good as sold as exotic fruits. This one has been grown from seeds coming from collectors of vegeables you do not find anymore in the gardens. It is perennial. You have to cut it back before the winter and keep it away from frost. Will do that and will tell you what's going on with this weird plant. Come along and take a walk in a French garden~~Click here for Species Tulips and other bulbs. It is very interesting. : ) |
What's happening if you forget some bulbs in a corner of your greenhouse, if do not plant them at the right time? Some will give signs of growth and some others like Colchicum or Sternbergia Lutea, will be able to grow and bloom without being in the ground. Here we are, a few bulbs of Sternbergia lutea I forgot among others Narcissus and Tulipa bulbs. You will notice that not a single root is showing off on these bulbs as roots are growing only when the bulb is planted. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Come along and take a walk in a French garden~~Click here for Species Tulips and other bulbs. I love everything about geraniums, including the scent. It is a wonderful memory from my childhood. Catherine, what is the green bushy plant in front of the penstemon in the first photo? |
