I have not had that problem with the old peonies in my yard Catherine. Again, another plant that is at least 50 years old. I have chopped pieces off the wood like root system and planted them around the yard. Nothing seems to slow them down, every piece I have planted has grown into a lovely mature peony (white, pink and red).![]() ![]() ![]() |
